The 13th Annual Conference of the Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR) — IFNRCON 2025 — is taking place from March 27th to 29th, 2025, at the prestigious Christian Medical College and Hospital Campus in Ludhiana. IFNRCON 2025 is supported by the Neurorehabilitation sub-section of the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN), World Federation of Neurorehabilitation (WFNR), Asia-Oceanian Society for NeuroRehabilitation (AOSNR), World Rehabilitation Alliance (WRA) and unites worldwide experts under the theme “Global Implementation of Evidence-Based Neurorehabilitation Practices.”

The Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR) is a multidisciplinary professional organization representing experts dedicated to neurorehabilitation across India. For over a decade, IFNR has played a pivotal role in training and empowering its members towards advancing neurorehabilitation. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, IFNR continues to drive excellence in neurorehabilitation research, practice, and policy—ensuring holistic care for patients nationwide.

EFNR and WFNR at IFNRCON 2025

Moreover, During the WFNR-EFNR Session, Prof. Muresanu discussed the role of multimodal biological molecules for brain recovery, followed by the presentation of Professor Nirmal Surya, president of IFNR, on teleneurorehabilitation in resource-limited settings. Professor Jayaraj D. Pandian, President of the World Stroke Organization (WSO), outlined the WSO’s goal of promoting advocacy, policy, and implementation of stroke care. He highlighted the Global Stroke Action Coalition and the International Neurointerventional Fellowship. The WFNR-EFNR session continued with Dr. Abhishek Srivastava, chair of the Special Interest Group (SIG) on Multiple Sclerosis within the WFNR addressing evolving multiple sclerosis rehabilitation needs.
